Nadir Thokan, BCom (Hons) Business Finance

As an Investment Strategist, Nadir’s areas of expertise include macroeconomic and asset allocation strategy research. He has the relevant skills that aid in understanding complex financial problems thereby contributing to both quantitative and qualitative aspects of our investment management process. Nadir is also strategically involved in 27four Investment Managers unit trust value proposition and is a regular financial markets contributor on radio and television.

 

Wayne Hiller van Rensburg, BA LLB

Wayne has over 16 years experience in the financial services industry. His industry expertise has also been acknowledged with his appointment to the Board of Directors of the Institute of Retirement Funds in 2013. His focus is on group retirement arrangements and how associated financial planning can assist people in achieving good retirement. Wayne aspires to make a real impact on people’s lives by developing and distributing financial products and advice. He has a keen interest in behavioural finance and how this can be used to design appropriate defaults for retirement arrangements. His advice to others would be to focus on your goals and, simply, persevere.

 

Martin Shapiro, B. Proc

Martin has over 30 years experience as a wealth manager, having joined the industry in 1983. Prior to that he practised as an attorney. His areas of expertise are multi-disciplinary providing holistic wealth management solutions to his clients.

 

Zarina Vawda, CIS

Zarina has been with Pioneer Wealth Managers since inception. She has over 23 years experience as an accountant and is responsible for all the firm’s accounting and tax procedures including the provision of management accounts, the production of annual financial statements and liaising with the firm’s external auditors and SARS.
