Tony Davey obtained his BA and LLB degrees at the University of Natal. He subsequently completed an Honours degree in Taxation at Wits, a Masters degree in Commercial Law at UNISA and a post graduate diploma in international tax at RAU.

Tony is an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa (1982), a Chartered Secretary (FCIS) and a registered and qualified Master Tax Practitioner.(SAIT).

He is the author of both LUASA handbooks, namely Business Assurance and Estate Planning and has 25 years consulting experience in the financial services area, including the holding of positions at general management level in listed Long-term insurance companies. Tony is the columnist for Costa Divaris' (ex Silke on Income Tax) monthly tax newsletter as well as the South African contributing author to the international publication, "Planning & Administration of Offshore and Onshore Trusts" (Bloomsbury Publishing Plc). He appears as a regulator guest tax adviser on Summit T.V.
